Hello to AIDMATE friends,
While there are many people who are going through a terribly difficult time with illnesses,job loss ,abuse in the home and more there are also those who are willing to help.
In your simple honesty most can hear you (if they are going to hear you at all).
It is not needed to hype up a story .
Especially if you are in a situation you've never been in before most of us understand this is a time of true anxiety and you really want help from someone,anyone who might be kind enough to reach out.
There are honest kind people who love to help others.And then there are those waiting for the right target. You or your children.
In these postings you also need to be careful.
Using "attractive" photos of yourself is sending the wrong message.
Are you sure you want to take a chance to attract the wrong person (who looking for someone who is financially,emotionally and possibly physically vulnerable)?
No help is worth that risk.
So when you post,be totally honest but brief.
Too much information can be a risk for you as well as a turn off for who just wanted to find a simple need (like food or groceries or warm blankets).
Using adorable photos of your children is exploitation. (I love the pictures and love the children but it's not safe to do this.)
Consider that you do not know who you are talking to and what the agenda can be. Protect yourself and your family.
Don't make you and your children "sitting ducks."
The person helping needs to only help.
Nothing more. They technically never need to see a picture of you!
This world can be very sick as most of you would agree.
Especially women and children are abused and even killed daily through predators waiting for people who are unguarded emotionally.
Please Don't let that be you or your family!
